Papatong

2019·Talent Coordinator

A short narrative film about a young Sundanese girl who struggles with bedwetting and feels ashamed of her condition. Guided by a local belief, she sets out to catch a dragonfly — papatong — and places it on her navel, hoping it will change her situation. When nothing happens, the story shifts into a quiet moment of realization, where she begins to accept herself as she is. The film explores childhood vulnerability, cultural belief, and the process of self-acceptance through a simple yet intimate journey. In this project, I worked as a Talent Coordinator, where I was responsible for managing child actors for the first time — an experience that was both challenging and demanding, requiring patience, adaptability, and strong communication on set.
